FAQ
How the site works, what it costs, and what it does with your data.
What does AudiobookRadar do?
It tracks audiobook prices across multiple stores and shows Libby (library) availability alongside them. You can search a book, see every price in one view, add books or favorite authors to a watchlist, and get emailed when prices drop.
Which stores do you cover?
Audible, Chirp, and Libro.fm today, plus Libby for library availability. More stores are planned. If there's one you want me to add, email me.
How do you get the prices?
The site continuously checks public product pages on each store and records every price it sees. Right now that's 8,300+ works across 16,900+ listings, with roughly 26,300 fresh price observations in the last 24 hours. Every price on the site is timestamped so you can see how fresh it is.
How accurate are the prices?
Every price on the site has a timestamp. Most are observed within the last day. If a price looks stale, you'll see the date clearly. Books with active watchlists get checked first, so the prices you actually care about are the freshest.
Is this an affiliate site?
Partly. Clicking through to Audible may earn a small commission (Amazon Associates). Other store affiliate programs may follow.
The site is built to show you the cheapest option, including Libby, where nobody earns anything. If I nudged you toward a paid Audible credit when the same book was three dollars on Chirp, you'd stop trusting the site. So the ranking is always cheapest first.
Why don't you cover Spotify, Everand, or Scribd?
Those are subscription services without per-book prices, so they don't fit the same model. If you pay a flat monthly fee, there's no price to track. I may add availability indicators for some of them later, but it's not the main focus.
Do I need to sign up?
No. Browsing deals, searching books, and comparing prices all work without an account. You only need to sign in (with Google) if you want to save books or favorite authors to a watchlist, or get email alerts when prices drop.
Who built this?
One developer who wanted this tool for their own TBR. No VC, no team, no paid tier. See the About page for the longer version.
How do I report a bug or request a feature?
Email contact@audiobookradar.com. I read every message. The fastest way to get something fixed or added is to tell me about it.
